Binatbatan dancing is connected to Vigan's abel Iloco craft. The dance depicts how cotton pods are beaten with bamboo sticks to release the cotton fluff called batbat from its seed. This festival was started in 2002 to showcase this traditional weaving craft that is said to predate the arrival of the Spaniards.The origin of Binatbatan festival was Binatbatan Festival traces its roots from the abel weaving industry of Vigan which has been in existence even before the Spaniards came to colonize the Philippines. growing up in a town where Holy Week turns people into passionate pilgrims and devotees, it has become usual for me to see local scenes exclusive for the Holy Week. Our town (well, politically Vigan is a city but I love calling Vigan as my 'town') transforms into a religious dream wonderland for different types of people. This is not limited to the passionate Roman Catholics who do the visita iglesia, stations of the cross and those who persistently wait for the start of the pursisyon (this is our local term for procession) who'll eventually recite prayers while they hold candles and rosaries as they walk with the carrozas that carry sculptures portraying the Roman Catholic's version of the gospel. Kannawidan ylocos festival, kannawidann festival was fun before the pandemic started but until now it’s still fun but it’s not the same as the usual before. Here in Vigan City we have the most famous tourist spot that we call the Heritage Village or what we call Calle Crisologo. This tourist spot has a very deep history and a lot of people want to visit this place because it has a beautiful view and history, Calle Crisologo is worth visiting both day and night. Each timezone has it's own charm and features. At day you will be enjoying the numerous antique souvenir shops around, as well as little museums like the Father Burgos Museum and the Crisologo Museum. These establishments are all settled within the Spanish heritage houses that give the car-free street it's charm. My reflection on all the learning I’ve gained during the second quarter, I have learned about notepads and HTML’s. our lesson this 2nd quarter was a bit harder than the 1st quarter because there a lot of task to do and sometimes doing the exercises in notepad is hard. The problem I’ve been encounter was having a lot of task to do and it’s hard for me because ICT is not just our subject to focus to, we have a lot of subject to answer and we can’t make those task at the same time. So that was the hardest part for me a having a lot of task to do in one subject only. The way I did to address all the challenges is to make a schedule to make my modules to make it easy. Moving on, I will still do all of those tasks but It’s really hard sometimes because we only have a few time to do our tasks.

My insight 0n Vigan City Fiesta Celebration in the new normal, I think there’s no festival will happen this year like last year I think they didn’t celebrate the fiesta because of this pandemic. Many of us want’s to watch and join the fiesta but they can’t because of this covid-19 virus.
